OK, look closely. Jared has decided that he wanted to take up poodle grooming. That's right, poodle grooming, by name, specifically poodles. So, in the absence of a poodle within earshot, he tried to do some ad hoc grooming on Gilbert. It's a miracle that he didn't cut off an ear or something. Gilbert did get a whisker trim, though, which has left him somewhat out of sorts. Safe to say Jared's grounded from scissors until high school or so.
